Dr Tanya Rickards graduated from Sydney University with First Class Honours in 1996. Tanya worked as a casual veterinary nurse throughout her veterinary studies and was fortunate to secure her first job as a veterinarian in a large ASAVA accredited small animal clinic in Canberra which gave her a strong foundation in clinical skills.
Tanya returned to Sydney and worked in a variety of clinics as well as for an international veterinary nutrition company. Her veterinary interests are in small animal internal medicine, endocrinology and preventative medicine. She has wanted to be a vet for as long as she can remember and is dedicated to providing optimal care for animals and a caring and compassionate service to her clients.
Tanya is also a dedicated mother. She currently owns 2 Maltese terrier cross dogs, Charlie and Tulip. Tanya joined Caring Vets on a part time basis in October 2019 and is happy to be part of such a progressive and caring veterinary environment.
