Ingrid grew up in Christchurch before moving to the North Island to study for a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and accidentally got stuck there for years and years. She missed the South Island and decided to shift to Nelson after visiting regularly.   Ingrid has been working at Stoke Vet Hospital since 2017 and feels right at home.  She loves the veterinary team environment and is proud of the work we do. A natural people person, Ingrid enjoys interacting with clients and their pets. She is also a huge animal advocate and works hard to do the best for her patients. Ingrid is our lead vet and part of the management team alongside Lisa, Di and Nic.

Ingrid has several pets, many of which were accidental acquisitions through work! Sprockett is a big ginger cat saved from euthanasia, Monty was a puppy needing a home at the clinic and Onxy is a pony who had laminitis. A grumpy Appaloosa/quarterhorse Diego and a noisy cockatiel Pearl complete the menagerie. Ingrid lives in Ruby Bay with her husband and two children and enjoys camping in their caravan while getting out to explore the beautiful area.
