BVSc (Hons)

After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2012 with Honours, Dr Kate started her veterinary career in a true Mixed Animal Practice in Bundaberg. She gained important skills in both small animal and farm animal veterinary medicine, Kate left her country roots and headed overseas to live and work as a locum vet throughout the UK. Over the next few years, she experienced working in multiple UK clinics and travelled the world, but the lure of her family and friends and a bit of sunshine brought her home to Australia. She accepted the Lead Vet role here at Peregian Springs Veterinary Surgery in 2018, where its small-town feel and community spirit felt like home.

Kate enjoys everything about General Veterinary Practice, from new puppy consultations, to complicated medical cases, surgery and geriatric care. She also has a keen interest in ophthalmology, so your pet’s eyes are sure to be in good hands!

When she isn’t at the clinic, Kate enjoys time split between the beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast and her beautiful cows at the family farm in Bungadoo.

Kate owns a handsome Border Collie named Ollie who is never far from her side and loves coming to work with her daily… mainly for the treats and air-con!
