Ian was born in Ingham, North Queensland where he lived until his family moved to Brisbane in 1980. During his schooling years, he was involved in the scouting movement which gave him a great appreciation for the outdoors.
Dr Ian graduated from the University of Queensland as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1987. He began working in mixed practice in the Lockyer Valley.
Following a working holiday in the UK, he and his wife settled in the Gold Coast Hinterland and worked there for several years. They moved back to Brisbane to be near their extended families after the birth of their second daughter.
In 2003 they decided to move onto the Redcliffe Peninsula and he started working at Peninsula Vet Surgery. His family have settled here living in Kippa-Ring. His daughters have now grown up, both living here and raising their own families.
Dr Ian enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice and the relationships he has built with our clients over the past 25 years.
However, he only work’s 3 days a week at the moment so he can pursue his other interests outdoors, camping, 4wding and doing triathlons.
