Libby grew up in the Macedon Ranges, and continues to happily live in the local area with her young family, her dog Clara and cat Leonard. Following the completion of her primary and secondary schooling in Melbourne, she undertook a year of cultural exchange in Helsinki, Finland. Back in Australia, she completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Zoology at The University of Melbourne, graduating in 2001. Following this, she was accepted to the Faculty of Veterinary Science, at The University of Melbourne, and graduated in 2005.

Libby started her veterinary career working in small animal and wildlife practice in Ballarat until 2008. Following this, she has worked in multiple metropolitan Melbourne clinics, both in a permanent and locum capacity, before joining a small animal private practice in Essendon until mid-2020.

Libby has proudly joined Woodend Veterinary Centre in a part-time capacity since then. She enjoys the general care aspects of her role, providing high standards of patient care, establishing client relationships and being a strong advocate for the human-animal bond.
