Prue graduated from Sydney University in 2009 and began her career as a vet in a large Sydney-based specialist and general practice hospital where she gained an array of knowledge in general practice, emergency and specialist veterinary medicine. After flying the coup to work in a few smaller vet hospitals she discovered a love of management and progressed to a hospital director role at a large vet hospital in Sydney’s West where she was able to combine her love of business management and clinical vet work. However the 3-minute commute beckoned and with an opportunity to become part of her local business community Prue jumped at the chance to takeover as Thornleigh’s managing vet in 2017.

Prue appreciates the variety that general practice brings and the constantly evolving knowledge and medicine required to keep up to speed in general practice. She loves teaching and believes client education is the key to ensuring both the vet and the owner can provide every pet with the best care possible. Prue also works to achieve the ultimate “stress-free” vet visit and has completed her fear-free pets accreditation. Prue is an AQIS accredited vet so she can treat and manage companion animals that are being exported including rabies vaccinations.

Prue lives around the corner from the clinic with her husband, two sons, a Great Dane X called Nalu, a cheeky retriever called Banjo and a flock of chickens.
