Bachelor of Veterinary Science with Honours (Uni. of Melb. 1988).

Rod started his career in Small Animal Practice in Blackburn in Dec 1988 and his interests have included surgery and taking a ‘problem-orientated approach’ to medical cases. In the last 15 years or so, a particular interest in ‘in-house’ pathology; especially Cytology, and the development of skills in imaging; especially ultrasonography. Currently, Rod loves to do abdominal ultrasounds and standard echocardiograms to help the team with diagnosis and management of various illnesses.

Rod’s daughter Michaela has a beautiful, though slightly naughty, long haired ‘torti’ cat named Gracie. She is 4 years old and a delightful family member.

Rod’s interests outside the veterinary world include involvement in Church activities at The Salvation Army in Ringwood and family gatherings with his beautiful wife of 35 years, Lisa, and adult children, David and Krystal, Matt and Amy and Michaela.  In September, Rod and Lisa will become grandparents!  Hobbies include walking, gym and fishing (especially for Gummies, Whiting and Snapper in Spring and Summer in Western Port!)
