Growing up Avalon in the 60’s on the then normal 1/4 acre block with sheep, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, rabbits and the occasional blue tongue lizard, Will was always destined to be a Vet.
Graduating from Sydney University with first class honours in the early 80’s he started his career in a mixed practice in Gerringong. He then moved to a small animals only practice – The Wollongong Vet Hospital – where he was a partner for around 15 years. He then worked for a few years in Shellharbour and Greystanes before buying and running Shellharbour Vet Clinic for the last 20 years.
Having just recently moved to the South Nowra area, Will is now working part-time at the practice, bringing a wealth of knowledge with 40 years of practice experience. He is still surrounded by animals with three horses, two dogs, a cat and a sheep. Outside of practice he loves fishing, remote camping and 4WD getaways.
Will is passionate about the health and wellbeing of all animals and his motto is to look after every animal he sees as of it was his own. His other passion apart from his wife, grown up children and now grandkids is master’s athletics where Will competes in Pole Vault in which he has won many national titles. Having spent all of his 40 year career in the Illawarra and South Coast area he is keen to keep looking after your pets providing them with the best of care.
