This Māori Language Week (Te Wiki o te Reo Māori), we’re inviting pet parents across Aotearoa to get involved in a fun and meaningful way – by teaching your dog some everyday commands in te reo Māori!
Taking place in the third week of September, Māori Language Week is all about celebrating and revitalising te reo Māori, the Indigenous language of New Zealand. What better way to honour the week than by bringing te reo into your daily routines – including your dog training sessions?
Whether you’re fluent or just started learning te reo, using simple phrases with your furry friend is a great way to practice and help keep the language alive.
