Treat your cat to a purr-fectly delicious snack! These crunchy salmon treats are simple to make and bursting with flavour your cat will love. Let’s get baking!
Ingredients
- 1 tin of salmon, undrained
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/3 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Pulse the undrained salmon in the food processor until finely chopped.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the salmon, beaten egg and 2 cups of flour to form a dough. If the dough is too dry, add a splash of water. If it’s too wet, mix in a little more flour.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and use a cookie cutter to create biscuit shapes of your choice. Arrange them on a lined baking tray.
- Bake for 20mins, or until the edges turn slightly brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool on a wire rack before serving them to your cat for a well-deserved taste test!
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Keep in mind that treats should be given in moderation, taking into account any dietary allergies your pet may have. It’s always a good idea to check with your vet before adding new foods to your dog’s diet, particularly if they have existing health conditions.
